Medix EMS is hiring First Aiders, Medics, Paramedics and Drivers for our 2023 Wildfire season and beyond. We are looking qualified individuals who are available and able to deploy to the provincial wildfire emergency. We are looking for those wanting to grow their emergency medical careers by joining a team of passionate and professional responders dedicated to patient care in pre-hospital settings. We offer flexible scheduling, industry leading wages, enhanced safety training and Continuing Education courses for EMA licensed individuals. Our Wildfire Operations Team are now accepting applications for certified and licensed medical professionals in the following areas:

We welcome those who have the following qualifications to apply.
Medic Position:
- OFA Lv 3 certification,
- or EMR or PCP Licensed and in good standing with EMA Licensing,
- Hold valid CPR,
- Hold a valid S100 and S185
- Clean criminal record,
- Clean driving history with minimum of BCDL Class 5,
Driver Position:
- Hold a minimum of BCDL Class 4,
- OFA Lv 1 certification, minimum,
- or EMR or PCP Licensed and in good standing with EMA Licensing,
- Hold valid CPR,
- Hold a valid S100 and S185
- Clean criminal record,
- Clean driving history with proof via drivers abstract,
This position is specifically for BC Wildfire Deployments that will last 16 days, with the option to continue in casual event medic positions. If hired, you will expected to deploy on at least 1 rotation immmediatley or within a short notice time frame. During deploymetns all members are provided housing in either a camp (tenting or trailer) setting or a hotel. If in a camp setting meals and all personal needs are provided for. If in a hotel a daily LOA subsidy of $50.00 per day is proviided. Deployment locations are throughout British Columbia but will depart from the Lower Mainland. Medics and Drivers will be expected to pack for varried weather conditions, bring personal necessities and bring anti-boredom devices to remain occupied during off duty hours.
Commitment requirements are a minimum of 1 rotation of 16 days.
