MEDIX has a long history of providing medical equipment and first aid services to workplaces and industrial areas across Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland.

MEDIX provides qualified occupational first aid attendants, Construction Safety Officers, medical equipment and vehicles to your worksite. Having worked with a variety of construction, mining, hydroelectric, and general coverage clients, Medix is one of the most reliable services on Vancouver Island, with an understanding of how to keep your jobsite safe.

First Aid Attendants

All worksites in BC have a mandated level of first aid attendant coverage they must meet through WorkSafe BC. In order to help you fulfil this requirement, for any length of coverage, Medix provides immediate care with a moment’s notice. Our staff can provide 8, 12, and 24-hour coverage for all levels of first aid care.

We can either use the pre-existing on site equipment, or we can provide you with the very best in emergency medical equipment.

MTC Units

All vehicles are equipped as an OFA 3 / EMR unit capable of providing treatment for up to two patients simultaneously. All trucks are carefully maintained by our fleet maintenance shop. The transport/treatment pods are designed and built by TUFPORT, meeting all CMVSS requirements with a built-in roll cage and lightweight fibreglass body.

All our vehicles are equipped with up to date cellular and sat-phone communications, GPS tracking, and mapping systems.

Emergency Transport Vehicles (ETV)

Our ETV units are designed to be on standby at a construction site and provide you with the necessary supplies and transport in an emergency when workers need it most. Typically, Worksafe BC recommends that any site located more than 20 minutes away from a hospital, with the appropriate hazard rating of moderate to high hazard and 6 or more workers, should always have an ETV on standby.

ETV units can also assist in large scale commercial sites providing the mandated transport method for compliance with Worksafe BC regulations. Our vehicles are capable of reaching any location- with our fleet of vehicles providing both on-road and off-road 4×4 ETVs.

Industrial Ambulances

MEDIX owns and maintains a high-quality fleet of Industrial Ambulances approved by Worksafe BC. Ambulances are available for short term and long-term projects, can be placed into any environment, and withstand all weather conditions. Ambulances come in either 2-Wheel and 4X4 and have been customized to provide comfort and stability.

Our units provide excellent services on a moment’s notice or can be scheduled in advance.
